Event liability insurance is standard in a majority of countries where we license Maker Faire.  Part of the onboarding process is to determine what is standard best practice and amount in your country.  The amount is specified in your license agreement.   In the United States we ask for Maker Media to be listed as additionally insured.

Maker Media asks for the required evidence of insurance to be provided to us no later than 3o days before your event date.

If you have trouble securing insurance, please message a request for insurance provider referrals to your country / regional Mobilize group.  It’s likely your neighbors may have located agents / companies that could work for your event.
