The biggest issue to remember about Eventbrite use is that you will need solid WiFi access where you are doing registration/sales for the system to be used effectively onsite.
How to Get Set Up
Maker Faire will set up your event that you will need to complete and customize. You will receive an email invitation to be an Administrator of your event. Follow the instructions to setup your subuser account, and login to Eventbrite.

Special Instructions for Paid Events
In left sidebar of Manage Tab, edit Payment Options and enter your banking information. Please note that if you utilize Eventbrite’s credit card processor, advance Payouts from Eventbrite will be made automatically on the 15th and 30th of each month. Also, Eventbrite only offers its credit card processing in the US and 25 international countries (full list at here), so non-U.S. faires might have to use PayPal (PayPal also offers regular, advance payouts).
Review the Eventbrite best practices page about the advantages of setting price milestones like Early Bird, Advance, and Door. These deadlines really help sell tickets, and help get the word out early.
If you plan to order scanners, sales units and credit card swipers and from Eventbrite, plan on ordering that equipment NO LATER than 4 weeks out from your event date. Please refer to the Maker Faire Eventbrite Help Doc for complete information on how to order equipment.
Special Instructions for Free Events
Your free event will be set up in Eventbrite as a “registration” process. You can use this to collect emails at a gate, at a info booth, or for waiver use.
